Huong Nguyen

Founder and Creative Director Huong is responsible for the brand look of the award winning furniture and home decor boutique as well as managing all the portfolios of the designers to ensure quality customer experience are consistently delivered. Backed with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, Huong has professionally honed her interior design skills at IKEA in various strategic, management positions for eight years.  In 2008, Huong founded The Spotted Frog and has been fusing these technical skills with home construction knowledge to apply it to private residential homes.  When you meet Huong, it’s hard not to be energized by her passion for beautiful spaces. Her extensive experience includes styling, decorating, renovating and designing luxury homes.  Huong’s signature look is a dynamic space innovatively mixed with various styles.  She loves injecting color, patterns and textures to create a bold and high drama impression in the space. Huong’s key talent is personalizing the space through the detailed touches that only accessories can evoke. Because quality residential design is defined by trusted relationships, Huong’s down-to-earth and engaging communication style will ensure that the design process is not only transparent but approachable as well.

Interior Designer, D.I.A.D Graduating from the Interior Architectural Design Program at Pacific Design Academy in Victoria B.C. in 2010, Rachael dived into her design career immediately after. Combining her strong technical skills with her natural detailed-oriented design approach, Rachael’s passion for her craft  is a breath of fresh air in an often intimidating process. Rachael’s foundation to every design is her client’s unique personal style, and then built upon by layering in effortless natural elements inspired by the beauty of Mother Nature. Growing up in a small beach town on Vancouver Island was the perfect canvas, and Rachael’s signature style pulls inspiration from the blend of water, rock and sand. When she’s not drafting at her desk or scrolling through her Instagram feed, you’ll find Rachael obsessing over photography, travel, and fashion, with a hot americano in hand.


Interior Designer, C.I.D.  A well seasoned and well humored professional, Amanda brings with her over 15 years of interior design experience ranging from commercial spaces to expansive and luxurious residential homes.  Augmented with a Certificate of Interior Design from BCIT, Amanda’s soothing communication style ensures her client’s maintain their cool through an otherwise stressful process.  Meticulous, creative and innovative, Amanda navigates between “marriage counselor” and interior designer as she knows the secret to a successful project is maintaining harmony between all collaborating partners.  When she’s not drooling over tile samples or being overly critical with undertones, you can find Amanda contemplating the meaning of life on a quiet walk with her son and husband.
